Valentine’s Day with the Physically Handicapped Children at KSPH – Valentine’s Day is a time for celebrating love and connection, and this year, Milele Foundation Uganda extended that spirit of love to the wonderful children at Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped (KSPH). Our team of volunteers spent a heartwarming day with the students, creating lasting memories and demonstrating our commitment to their well-being.
The day was filled with joy and laughter as our volunteers arrived at KSPH with special treats for each student. Seeing the smiles on the faces of these special children as they received their gifts was truly heartwarming. We believe that every child deserves to feel loved and celebrated, and we were thrilled to share this special day with them.
Our Valentine’s Day visit was more than just a celebration; it was a reflection of Milele Foundation’s ongoing dedication to supporting the special needs children in Uganda. We recognize the unique challenges these children face and are committed to providing resources and support to enhance their lives. Our proposed collaborative project with KSPH focuses on mental health support, promoting social interaction, and reducing stigma surrounding disabilities.
The day’s activities included helping the school staff serve lunch, creating a sense of community and shared experience. We also enjoyed a lively sing-along and shared a delicious cake, making the Valentine’s Day celebration even more special for these lovely kids. Each child received a beautiful flower, a symbol of our love and appreciation.
At Milele Foundation, we believe in the power of community and the importance of creating inclusive environments for all children, including those who are physically handicapped. Our Valentine’s Day visit to KSPH was a small gesture of our commitment to building a brighter future for these children. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped (KSPH) and look forward to continuing our work together.
