How sponsored children empower communities

How sponsored children empower communities- Overcoming Poverty in Uganda and Africa at large can only start with empowering people within the community to help themselves.

How sponsored children empower communities

As a child/children’s sponsor, you can always make a unique impact on both the life/lives of your sponsored child/children and their communities. For every child being sponsored, there is a family that benefits too.

When you decide to sponsor a child, your impact is not only felt by him/her but also by everyone in their community and their surroundings. This is so because one of the most effective ways to make a positive change is to transform a child’s whole environment.

Milele Foundation always work closely with the local leaders and elders who show us where there is need in the community and then advise us on how best we can support the community through the use of sponsorship contributions.

We also work in partnership with everyone that impacts the lives of these children whether they are parents, relatives, community members, Non-governmental and governmental Organizations from every corner of the world.  We look through the root causes of poverty in the community.

Your sponsorship contribution equips the entire community with the necessities they may need for example education, health care facilities, clean water sources, nutritious food stuffs, security in order to build for a better future and improved employment opportunities for the parents/guardians to improve their income levels.

Attaining education in a safer environment and acquiring all the necessary class materials provide a child with opportunities for a better future thus becoming leaders, teachers and mentors in their communities.

Accessing safe water from well constructed sources promotes good hygiene within the community.

Children learn skills such as baking, crafts work to mention but a few which they later on pass onto their peers within the community thus creating the concept of creativity in their communities.

The sponsorship contribution supports community projects carried out by your sponsored child/children in their communities to create a safer environment for other people in the community who may be thriving to live.

The love that these sponsored children receive from their sponsors is always reciprocated to their friends, family and Relatives within their communities.

This brings about Unity and togetherness. Sponsored children are taught to embrace the principle of “sharing is caring” as they grow up and this helps them to shape their communities.  They can always share whatever they get from their sponsors with the other children in their communities.

There is also a model called kindness where children are encouraged to find ways of being kind to everyone in their communities. This builds connections amongst different people.

Usually, sponsored children are good listeners and writers, this is because they write letters to their sponsors and in the process, and they always follow instructions thus empowering them to become teachers, mentors in their communities.
