A crisis is brewing in Kampala, Uganda. If you’ve watched global news, you may be aware of a Cholera outbreak in Kampala. The city officials of Kampala are doing great things to try to alleviate the danger the outbreak is causing.
However, the risk to communities, especially children, is imminent.
At Milele Foundation Uganda, we directly support children living in the neighborhoods which are most greatly affected by this outbreak, as well as ongoing poverty, medical crises, and lack of nutrition and sanitation. We provide these children with a place to learn as well as eat, each day.
Milele’s Rising Stars Infant School is also in this neighborhood, and the cholera crisis is spotlighting the need for renovations to the school buildings, especially the water supply, washroom facilities, and handwashing stations.
These photos are of the neighborhood surrounding the school (taken recently) as well as the current school buildings. If you are able to contribute to a fund to support our efforts ($5000USD is needed to do a complete school renovation), please reach out and we will ensure every penny you give goes directly to this cause.
Help us give these beautiful kids hope in a place where it is scarce.
